Mrs. Lena Hill Rites Friday
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. at the Erwin Funeral Parlors for Mrs. J. C. (Lena) Hill, 84, mother of Harbor Springs Postmaster Douglas Hill, who died yesterday at Little Traverse Hospital. The Rev. Donald Drew will officiate and interment will be in Lakeview cemetery.
She was born at Harbor Springs on June 6, 1879 and lived her entire life there. Her husband, the late Jess C. Hill, preceded her in death in 1943.
She is survived by a son, Douglass of Harbor Springs: two daughters, Mrs. Esther White of Harbor Springs, with whom she resided and Mrs. Chester (Leona) Martindale of Saginaw; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Louis Stewart, Mrs. A. E. Wells and Mrs. Maurice Towers, all of Harbor Springs.
The body is at the Erwin Funeral Parlors, where friends may call Thursday from 7:30-p p.m.
