Petoskey News-Review, Wednesday, April 6, 2005:
Stanley R. Bodzick, age 94, of Levering, died Monday, April 4, 2005, at Bay Bluffs Medical Care Facility in Harbor Springs.
Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 9, at St. Clement Catholic Church in Pellston with the Rev. Arthur Duchnowicz officiating. The family will receive friends at Schiller Funeral Home in Harbor Springs from 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 8, with a rosary recited at 7:30 p.m.
Stanley was born on Dec. 4, 1910, at Larks Lake, the son of Joseph and Catherine Bodzick. He was raised at Larks Lake and attended Larks Lake School.
On Nov. 22, 1941, Stanley married his wife of 63 years, the former Stasia Skoczylas, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church at Larks Lake, and she survives.
Stanley worked on his dairy farm most of his life. He was a member of the St. Clement Parish in Pellston, the 4-H, the Farm Bureau, and was an active member of the Grange. He served as the Center Township supervisor for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Barbara Bodzick; and a great-granddaughter, Theresa Moore.
Stanley is survived by his wife, Stasia Bodzick; three daughters, Theresa (George) Mason, Patricia (Jerry) Hagerman and Katherine Bodzick; three sons, Stanley Bodzick, Joseph (Suzi) Bodzick and Donald Bodzick; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Joseph Bodzick.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Clement Catholic Church in Pellston.
Schiller Funeral Home of Harbor Springs is in charge of arrangements.
